Our Events

We have a variety of events all year round, not all events are suitable for all children or age groups - we try to give as much information as possible, but we ask that parents ensure that the activity is suitable for their child before booking. Please ensure you have read all the information and message us if you are unsure.

Open Events

This page is open to all

This is for new members to the group. We hold several events throughout the year which are ideal for new families to come along, meet other families and find out if their children like the group.

Once you have attended an open event, you will be able to book on to More Events.

More Events

This page is only open to those who have been to an event before

Once you have attended an open event with our group, you will be able to find more events here open for you to book.

There will be a variety of events year round and not all are suitable for all children. Please message us if you are unsure.

Regular Members

This page is only open to those who have purchased regular membership

Once you have been with our group for over a year, are an ambassador of the group and are attending regularly, you will be invited to become a Regular Member. There is a membership fee, but this does give you some priority bookings and discounts.

For some families, this group does become a lifeline, the regular membership is to help those families.

Volunteers

This page is only open to our volunteers

We can not run this group without our kind and supportive volunteers.

Volunteers also have to pay a membership fee, but because we MUST have volunteers at each and every event, they receive priority bookings and discounts to all events.

Unique Opportunities

As a group, we strive to provide a unique environment where children with SEN can grow through social and mental stimulation. We have been going for several years now and some children are still with us from the start, some a long time, or some that have come on leaps and bounds in a short time.

Due to the hard work our volunteers have done over the last 5 years, our group has gained recognition and respect within many circles, we are recognised by Short Breaks, we have achieved some funding for events from the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun fund and we have nurtured a fantastic relationship with many of our venues who look to help us where they can. We are sometimes given unique opportunities to recognise this. We have recently been given a small number of Norwich City Football tickets - but in an environment like this we do have to be very thoughtful in who we award these to - after all - we do hope to be given these opportunities more often.

Additionally, some of our older children are undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh awards, and we are able to give them responsibilities within the group to help their progress.

We are not able to do this for all the children in our group. Our group is specifically for children who have a wide variety of challenges and behaviours - this may make many opportunities unsuitable. We can not deny these opportunities to those who are suitable, and we apologise if this may seem unfair at times to the other children. But over time with our group, we hope that every child grows, and uses this amazing facility to become the best young person they can be.
